Funny because the “shit he was saying about Kane” is just him repeating what Kane has said earlier in the year 🤷‍♂️
Felt a little bit sorry for Yamal last night. Then I remembered the shit he was saying about Kane in the lead up to the event, and now I’m happy he came third

all he said was goals alone don’t make a player the best in the world, which is a factual statement.

Because it's Lamine Yamal, and everyone seems to hate the kid. People are afraid of what he could achieve if he wins the Euros, World Cup and Ballon d'Or all before turning 20. There's politics involved, too. He raised the Palestine flag and the powers that be don't like that. That's the only truth.
Every Spanish member of the World Cup-winning team was winning their respective categories until it was Lamine Yamal. Luis de la Fuente won Coach of the Year, Unai Simón won Goalkeeper of the Year, but when it was Lamine’s turn, they robbed him. He couldn't even finish in the top two. I knew his path to the Ballon d'Or was going to be difficult the moment he raised the Palestinian flag. I knew that could be the beginning of his troubles. I loved his speech when he received the Kopa Trophy, though. He reminded them that he's outgrown the award and that it should be Cubarsí's turn to win it. Personally, I'm not even that mad about the Ballon d'Or result because, after yesterday's performance against Real Madrid, I said maybe Lamine needed to be humbled, go back to the drawing board, and work on his game. He needs that motivation again, and I thought missing out on the Ballon d'Or could give him exactly that. But make no mistake about it: Lamine Yamal was the best player in the world in 2026. Harry Kane couldn't even win the Bundesliga Player of the Year award. He didn't win England's Player of the Year, the Champions League, or the World Cup. Yet somehow, we're supposed to believe Lamine wasn't even among the top two players in the world? But it is what it is. Lamine Yamal needs to take his mind off the Ballon d'Or and focus on football. He's still young, and there's so much more for him to achieve. Unfortunately, being openly pro-Palestine could make his journey to individual football honours even more difficult.

Hate this “he will win it in the future” nonsense. Lamine can get his ACL cooked in the alaves match. There’s no guarantee of a tomorrow.

I Messi en tindria 15.

Mbappe and Lamine did not lose because of PR campaigns. Secondly, Harry Kane did as much interviews as the aforementioned, the difference is that his name won’t generate clicks like them. Let’s start with the interview he did with Owen Hargreaves on TNT, and in that interview, Hargreaves played voice notes of other players like Michael Owen wishing him well. This was a month ago and it didn’t generate up to 120k views, which buttresses my earlier point, watch here: youtu.be/JLwv_xIg5JI Kane did another interview in August with Gazzetta dello Sport, he specifically even said the golden boot was great but he wanted the BDOR. He was even saying what more would he have to do? (Link here: gazzetta.it/en/football/cham…). On the red carpet tonight, that same phrase was repeated. He did another interview with Marca in September, where he said the 73 goals speaks for itself, link here: marca.com/en/football/bundes… He also did another interview with The Athletic. You can check that. There were also little nuggets here and there from him across different interviews. People like Fabrizio are known to farm. Mbappe could have done one interview where a journalist asks him questions, guess what, Fabrizio will break this small interview into several tweets. To us, we’re saying Mbappe and Lamine are talking too much, but you won’t believe it’s just one interview Fabrizio has posted 25 times. I clocked it not long ago when I saw an interview myself. Look at all these interviews I quoted, Fab could do that for Kane and generate as many headlines as possible, but maybe they won’t give him the number he’s looking for. Again, Kane had as much interviews as the rest of them.
When Mbappé and Yamal started doing interviews and pushing PR campaigns, I had a feeling they might lose the Ballon d’Or. Harry Kane was wise enough to stay silent, humble and focused. To every talented young footballer dreaming of winning the Ballon d’Or, my advice is simple: leave the Premier League, that league is too serious and will never allow you to express yourself. You can only come back as a superstar. Congratulations to Harry Kane once again.
