Hvorfor kan jeg nyte en pilsner noen meter unna selve stranden, men ikke på selve stranden? Finnes det en annen begrunnelse enn "fordi loven tilser det"? #Hvervenbukta #Holmlia #Svensketilstander – at Oslo, Norway

I'm very torn tonight. On one hand, I have been railing against ICE, and the mass deportation policies of the Trump administration. I have not been a fan of rounding of immigrants, most of whom are living peaceful lives and who are strong contributing members of their communities, and removing them forcibly from the country for what amounts to issues with paperwork and a slow process. I have been active in speaking out in my community against an ICE Detention center just a few miles from my house. I am clearly and vocally pro-immigrant. But when the Trump Administration is opening the door for the Bolsonaro family, coming into this country while skirting due process, not coming the "right way" - whatever the hell that is - and are here to live off the American people while avoiding Brazilian justice, I kinda want them out of the country. So, how do I reconcile wanting to #DeportTheBolsonaros while not being interested in deporting anyone living here peacefully and not here to just skirt justice in their home country? Help me out!

When I say I'm anti-war, I mean it in the classical liberal sense: radically anti-interventionist, pro-free markets, and fully in favor of the unhindered international movement of goods, labor, and capital. True peace comes from open trade and voluntary cooperation, not state-managed borders or foreign entanglements. I would have been in favor of Benjamin Franklin's efforts to avoid the revolution. ΙΧΘΥΣ
Oh you're anti-war? So you're against the American Revolution? No? Oh okay. Then shut the f*ck up with your "I'm anti-war" bit. You're pro-war when your preference of outcome gives you comfort. And that's the reality: war is hell, but it's not inherently unjust in defense.

What’s coming was avoidable, but Republicans in Congress let Trump start a war, increase spending, arm a genocide, betray MAHA, and cover up for Epstein’s coconspirators. I was ousted with over $30 million of foreign lobby money for refusing to go along, and here we are.

Gosh that would be a breath of fresh air if they decided to let the market work itself out for once.
Good That is how markets are supposed to work. Sorry to burst your bubble.

If we took every dollar from all 989 U.S. billionaires ($8.4 trillion), we’d still have about $32 trillion in national debt.
If we took all of Elon's money to pay off the national debt, we'd still be 39 trillion dollars in debt. Maybe we have a politician problem, not a billionaire problem.

Also, war is evil. God put us on this earth to be fruitful, multiply, and exert dominion over the earth- not to cover it in blood, shrapnel and tears.

He just described every war of the modern era.
What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people. The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.
