gen 2 - leveling feels slow and the single steep level curve before lance
gen 3 - idk
gen 4 - HM's
gen 5 - (early game) pokemon roster
gen 6 - basic as balls
gen 7 - too many cutscenes
gen 8 - no interesting overworld
gen 9 - the open world
no its based the story is way better but apart from that, the minor changes are all pretty good, mantine surfing is fun, we have an actual victory road in usum and ultra necrozma is cool so i wouldn't say the difference in quality is big at all
i'm playing this now and icl this shit's so ass i don't take ur opinion on videogames seriously if u think this is one of the best pokemon games

mami is a little interesting but not developed
swapping them out doesn't change anything, zander wouldn't have been interesting either way apart from having a cool design and a cool move (mami has those too)
