We've been advocating alongside Gulfton residents, @myconcom, & others for a @METROHouston circulator for a few years. Itβs great to join and celebrate the launch of the service, which will improve access to opportunity!

When America first celebrated its freedom on July 4th, not all Americans were free. Today we honor #Juneteenth, a new federal holiday commemorating when news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached Texas, finally freeing the remaining enslaved Black Americans.

This isn't because most Houstonians aren't brave enough to ride a bike. It's because Houston's bike network is full of holes.

#DearSecretaryPete Mayor @SylvesterTurner of Houston wants safer streets and to reach #ZeroTrafficDeaths by 2050. He has asked the President to work with, and now we ask you to work with him on this goal as well.

I know that we need to prioritize safer streets. A strong federal commitment to #ZeroTrafficDeaths is needed to help cities like Houston save lives. @RoadToZeroUS @NSCsafety #VisionZero @HoustonPlanning
