Few have kept that promise like Sen. Jeanne Shaheen. We were honored to present her with the Janis Shinwari Lifetime Achievement Award at our annual Capitol Hill Reception.
Years ago, Sen. Shaheen's intervention allowed our founder, Janis Shinwari, to safely reach the United States through the SIV program after the Taliban targeted his visa. Janis founded No One Left Behind to extend that same moral obligation to every ally who served alongside us.
Her work built the foundation of our organization.
We're not stopping until every promise is kept.
