I love this team and Bethany more than anything. Couldn’t be happier with my college experience #OneBethany

One thing I really value in hitting development is closing the feedback loop between what we train and what actually happens in games. One way I’ve done that is through individualized post-game Swing Decision Reports. Here’s a look at what each hitter received after a game ⬇️

S/O Donny for getting tossed here. What are we doing not delaying this game? Clearly puddles all over the field, rain still pouring, not the safest for players, plus not delaying the game gives the Reds to opportunity to bring Burns back out Makes no sense
Don Kelly got his money’s worth. He also now leads Major League Baseball with five ejections.

1000% the right move by Donnie Kelly to leave Keller in the game right there I love him going out to the mound to talk to him & show that confidence in him to get that final out Although Kepler got that hit with the way, the bullpen has been, keeping him in the game is the call

Another one Pirates receive; Mason Miller Manny Machado (eat $22 million a year, 75% of yearly salary) Padres receive: Barco Triolo Harrington
Who says no? Pirates receive: Mason Miller Padres receive: Jhostynxon Garcia Edward Florentino Termarr Johnson Carmen Mlodzinski

With the new CBA, you would assume there will be some sort payroll increase Buccos have to increase payroll and get a vet with playoff experience. Padres get back MLB 3B, young pitching depth and decrease their payroll

Definitely a risk for the Pirates to take on that salary with an aging player. But go all in, get the reliever, add a veteran bat

Norby is a guy who I thought if drafted to a contender, could be someone that gets called up late in the season to be a bullpen piece Doubt the Reds do that. But if a bullpen needy team like the Pirates had drafted him, I wouldn’t have called it the craziest idea to do that
4th-rder Ethan Norby signs w/@Reds for $630k (slot 122 value = $632,500). @ECUBaseball RHP, one of best sliders in @MLBDraft, up to 95 mph w/fastball, low release height & good shapes.

Cal has electric stuff. His slider is very dominate. Pairing that with a mid to upper 90’s heater. Until he adds a better 3rd pitch, envision him being a very solid reliever but I definitely wouldn’t rule out a long term starter
5th-rder Cal Scolari signs w/@WhiteSox for $550k (slot 137 value = $547,700). Physical @OregonBaseball RHP, up to 98 mph, mid-80s SL is a bat-misser. Believe he's one of @JonathanMayo's favorite sleepers. @MLBDraft

Thought he would go 5-8 and at worst top 10 Those pick values range from $8.3m (5th pick) - $6.3m (10th pick) Getting under slot at 14, shows the industry must not have been as high on him as the public was
The @Marlins have signed No. 14 overall pick Jacob Lombard for $5 million (slot = $5,444,900). Signing and bonus tracker: atmlb.com/4poCZXZ

Love a good buy low trade Was a huge piece in the Juan Soto trade but has struggled so far this season In 2025 he hit .310 w 10 HR’s and 16 SB’s in AAA but struggled in the MLB hitting .223 with a 30% K% Currently hitting .215 w an OBP of .304 and a 26% K% before getting DFA’d
The Pirates have acquired OF Robert Hassell III from the Nationals for cash considerations or a PTBNL. He was outrighted off the Nationals’ roster Sunday, so there will be no corresponding move on the 40 man roster

The first movement I look for when evaluating elite hitters isn't the swing. It's how they gather into their load. After watching Vahn Lackey, the No. 3 overall pick by the @Twins, one movement immediately stood out. 🧵

Love this pick for the #Angels Wright dominated the MAC and then went on to be on the best hitters in Tennessee’s lineup and the SEC Wright is a plus athlete that can play both behind the plate and in center field
With their 8th-round pick (No. 229 overall), the @Angels select @Vol_Baseball catcher Garrett Wright, No. 190 on the Top 250 Draft prospects list. Watch live: atmlb.com/3TcqClC

One of my favorite players in the draft, especially at this range. Coached against Rembert this season and you can tell right away that he’s a professional hitter. Plus approach & B2B skills He will play in the big leagues Getting a Big Leaguer at pick 51 is a steal
Round 2, Pick 51. We have selected 2B Chris Rembert.

Turned out to be a pretty good move for the Buccos, especially considering what they gave up to get him
I like this kid for the @Pirates 🟩 Swing Decision 🟨 Bat to Ball 🟥 Bat Speed ▫️LH bat @ PNC ▫️Chase (69th percentile) ▫️Whiff (79th percentile) ▫️BB% (83rd percentile) ▫️Above average defender Gain some bat speed, & watch the batted ball data 🚀. Has a chance to be a steal

There is just something about drafting guys with bloodlines Growing up in the clubhouse, being around professionals, and learning from them throughout your life is something that intrigues me When you look for separators, that something that stands out

With the Gonzalez trade last night, the Sox snag the son of a Hall of Famer. Love the pick for the Sox
