“We rehearsed for a week or so before we started [shooting] in Chicago. I remember during rehearsal, he was jabbing me with a clipboard that he had in his hands with the little metal part right in my ribs. And I remember knocking it out of his hand. And then he was like, “I like that. Let’s do that in the movie.” So that’s why it’s in the movie like that, because Sean was provoking me to get a reaction. Once I did, he said, “Good. For those who missed it the first time, this Scarface thread explains the real reason Angel Fernandez was so scared going into that drug deal with the Colombians. A deleted scene adds a whole new meaning to the iconic chainsaw scene.
When Tony is on his way to do the drug deal with the Colombians, his friend Angel is visibly nervous — and it's not just because of the deal itself. A deleted scene reveals why: he says he never saw the “madrina” he was supposed to visit to make an offering to “Changó” - He’s referring to Santería, an Afro-Cuban religion that had a strong presence in Miami in the 1980s, especially in the Cuban underworld.
Superstitious criminals would seek out priestesses known as madrinas, believed to act as intermediaries with the gods. They would invoke these gods in rituals and ask for protection before heading into dangerous missions like assassinations or high risk drug deals.
However, in the original shooting script there’s a detail that didn’t even make it into the deleted scene...

On March 14, 2026, PulseChain RPCs experienced a DDoS incident, and at the same time, Ethereum went through a block reorganization event.
Our gasless component operates separately from the main protocol contract, and at that time it did not yet include the same level of block reorganization protection as the core system. During this period, a user executed a transaction of approximately $14K, but due to these overlapping edge-case conditions, the system incorrectly processed a double payout of about $28K. As a result, we absorbed a $14K loss from our own liquidity. We have attempted to contact the user, but have not yet received a response.
Following this incident, our team redesigned and strengthened both the gasless and gas-sponsoring contracts to better handle extreme network events and similar edge cases.
We are also reaching out in good faith and hope the user will be willing to return the excess funds.
