I am another person worried by Chris Fry's latest attempt to reinvent himself in the disability legal arena. Fry was struck off being a solicitor for admin misconduct disabilitynewsservice.com/so… but he also screwed over a LOT of disabled clients costing them legal cases and money.
Not In My Name. Solicitor Fry was struck off, and his flakiness sold a very lot of disabled people down the river. He caused massive distress, including to me, and him using "my" case, taken without him, to attempt to gain credibility in his self-reinvention is not OK.

I am rarely here (Twitter) these days (cos Nazis) but I wanted to rage at the news that @SFdirewolf has recently died. I only interacted with @SFdirewolf a little - she was always impressive. I share this eulogy by folk who knew Alice well llps.substack.com/p/alice-wo… #AliceForever
I will destroy (destory was my migraine typo, I think that's also apt) the supremacy with tea and heat bags.

Why is it that @wesstreeting is taking no action to correct so many unemployed GPs?
GPs are facing a painful paradox: patients need care, yet many GPs are overwhelmed or out of work. Whether you're overstretched or struggling to find work, the GP Support Hub is here for you – with resources on unemployment, wellbeing & financial support bma.org.uk/our-campaigns/gp-…

It’s #ALevelResultsDay. Some students celebrating today will one day be NHS doctors. What they don’t know yet is that they’ll start work on £18.62/hr, already over £100,000 in student debt. They’ll be sent around the country every few months, away from family and friends. They’ll work nights, weekends, evenings; often without hot food at night, a locker, or even free parking. Meanwhile, a newly qualified physician assistant after completing a 2 year postgraduate course starts on nearly £10,000 more than a fully qualified doctor. To the next generation: we see you, and we are fighting for you. You should inherit a profession that values your dedication, your sacrifices, and your years of training. We will not stop until medicine in the UK is worthy of you.

🚨 Accessible housing crisis in London 🚨 Only 23% of new builds meet accessibility standards (target = 90%). Disabled Londoners are being left in unsafe, unsuitable homes. We need more accessible housing! @laura_vicinanza @InclusionLondon bbc.com/news/articles/c1jnn2…

if you don't want to be accused of xenophobia, don't say something that is literally and precisely xenophobic. Why is the BBC bending over backwards to placate these people even when they're no longer in power? theguardian.com/media/2025/a…

Today I’ve submitted an Amendment to stop the remaining £2 billion cut in the Disability Cuts Bill. The Universal Credit Health cut will hit 750,000 sick and disabled people - costing them £3,000 a year. We should not balance the books on the backs of sick and disabled people.

I keep saying the things @ShaniDhanda says to my MP about the benefits stuff. Stop punishing sick/disabled people when there's structural barriers of housing, transport, health/social care, limited jobs AND employer discrim all blocking us. Cuts will just kill us.
If we closed the disability employment gap even slightly, it would bring £50 billion back to the treasury. But this will never happen when everything you need to get into work is inaccessible, non-existent or broken. #TakingThePip #EndAbleism

We refuse to let co-production be co-opted. It is a complicated and unique process that involves the centring of Disabled voices and experiences - not as a tick box exercise, but making our experiences central to decision making. Some food for thought this #CoProWeek2025

We need a welfare system that supports, not punishes, people when they need it most. Disability benefit cuts will deepen hardship and inequality across Wales and the UK. I’m voting NO.

I’m Voting No to: ◾️£7 billion in disability benefit cuts ◾️Driving over 400,000 people into poverty, including up to 100,000 children ◾️Impacting 3 million families, including 700,000 already in poverty These cuts will destroy lives. MPs must vote against.
🚨NEWS🚨 15 Labour MPs joined us today to take a public stand and say they are voting NO to disability benefit cuts. More need convincing - we don't think any MP could vote for these cuts with a clear conscience. 📷Photo: David Mirzoeff disabilityrightsuk.org/news/…

MPs, You can support getting people back to work WITHOUT supporting these cuts. If half a million people want to return to work (as Labour claims), invest in helping them do it. Don’t link it to benefit cuts and sanctions. Fear doesn’t motivate. Poverty doesn’t incentivise.
