I love how NASCAR socials have gone from
“NASCAR is rigging things for Toyota cause lawsuit got to give them the Championship….RIGGED RACES!”
To
“NASCAR IS LETTING CHEVY CHEAT SO THE 5 team CAN WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP! Rigged!”
Two things from NASCAR:
1. They looked at the SMT data and Stenhouse, Byron and Custer were all wide open from Turn 3 to the end of the race (none of them lifted to let Larson win, in other words)
2. They say Larson's left-side tires were on the yellow line but never below the yellow line. So they reviewed that and say it's legal.
The only reasonable win is Kyle Busch

I like the part in re-collecting and finds with #NASCAR diecasts that you get enough to put them in their own spot.

CDC: statement on the plague
Everyone: we are fucked.
CDC is aware of and closely monitoring reports of a suspected case of pneumonic plague in the Irkutsk region of Russia that resulted in a death. We are working across the U.S. government to assess developments as additional information becomes available.
While the circumstances of this reported case remain unconfirmed, plague is a serious bacterial disease that is treatable with antibiotics, particularly when recognized and treated early.
Pneumonic plague can spread person-to-person through respiratory droplets during close contact, which is why rapid identification and treatment of infected individuals, and monitoring of potentially exposed individuals, are important public health measures.
At this time, there is no indication of a broader threat to the United States, but CDC and our interagency partners are prepared and will continue to monitor the situation closely.
