I watched CD and thought it was a good adaptation,it’s funny to watch.I liked the dynamic within the group of friends and the lead couple was good.I didn’t really connect with the fem protagonist bc the culture of "breadcrumbing" isn’t my thing and it was hard for me to see🥹🙂
Exactlyyyyyy 👏🏻👏🏻🗣️🗣️ It’s not just the call dean, it’s the entire scene and what it signifies, Following that scene with Sean, Allie experiences significant growth in other parts of the book.🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
We agree that not everything remains the same in an adaptation but there are parts in a book so iconic bc it’s a climactic moments in the book and means something that you simply cannot remove them, In my opinion, this scene shouldn't have been changed.🤷🏼♀️🥹
The prob with changing this scene so much is all of us who’ve read the books know there’s a whole context to the full scene from Garrett’s interaction with Sean until the call Dean.If they change anything in this scene, they have to do it very well otherwise,it loses its meaning.
🕵🏻♀️📞 | Prime Video has confirmed the returning cast for Season 2, and unfortunately, Riley Davis isn’t coming back for S2, which raises a big question: what happens to the “Call Dean” scene?
Sean is central to that scene in the book, so fans are understandably worried about how it might be adapted. My guess is that Louisa Levy and the team could lean further into the Allie, Hunter, and Dean love triangle, especially given where Season 1 left things.
Let’s also remember how Season 1 changed Garrett Graham’s beloved “Of course I did” scene. We could still get “Call Dean,” just in a different context.
What do you guys think?
WTF with the names of the main leads in Campus Drivers,I mean, Lois and Lane, seriously? I can’t focus!🤣🤣 I only think 👇🏻👇🏻
we agree if the scene with Call Dean takes place with someone other than Sean, it doesn’t carry the same emotional weight in the story. I mean, they could do it with someone else but it won’t be the same.🫤🤷🏼♀️
Mika, You deserve a good season. Many of us will be supporting the season because of you 🥰🤗 ( and Hannah/ Garrett too of course but we’ll see about that)🥹 Mika we love you 😘
