The US Defense Department has awarded a $41 million contract to Singapore-based iX Biopharma to develop Wafermine, a small ketamine wafer that dissolves under the tongue and delivers the drug through the mucous membrane without injection. The company is pursuing emergency FDA authorization under a September US military emergency declaration, which allows unapproved medications to be deployed if the Pentagon deems them necessary. Ketamine use by the US military has been increasing since 2010 as a primary battlefield analgesic, particularly for severely injured patients, while opioid use has declined. The non-opioid drug can alleviate moderate to severe acute pain while also causing dissociation and amnesia. A Politico investigation found that the drugās domestic manufacturing partner lacks the required Nevada operating license.

š· BREAKING: After years of research, Caltrans has officially announced that the I-405/I-10/I-5 interchange in Los Angeles has replaced the NASA astronaut training program as Americaās ultimate driving test.
Officials say if you successfully survive a Los Angeles freeway interchange while simultaneously:
Merging across five lanes in 8 seconds, avoiding a Tesla that just cut across three lanes without warning, decoding highway signs pointing toward six different cities, dodging 400 orange construction barrels, and praying your GPS doesnāt suddenly say āTake the next exitā when youāre already trapped in the wrong laneā¦
You are now legally qualified to drive anywhere on Earth.
The study was reportedly led by one California driver who survived rush hour on the 405 with an In-N-Out burger in one hand, an iced coffee in the cup holder, sunglasses on his head, and absolutely no idea which lane leads to Santa Monica.
Witnesses say he emerged from his car visibly older, whispering, āI needed the 10 West⦠HOW AM I HEADING TOWARD SAN BERNARDINO?!ā before disappearing into an In-N-Out drive-thru.
Somewhere in this photo, thereās currently:
- A driver missing the exit toward Santa Monica for the fourth time.
- A Tesla riding somebodyās bumper like itās connected by Bluetooth.
- A semi-truck attempting a lane change that requires approval from the governor, Caltrans, and three neighboring counties.
- Someone crossing four lanes because their GPS said, āKeep right in 500 feet.ā
- One driver braking in the middle of a perfectly clear freeway for absolutely no reason.
- And one California native casually sipping an iced latte while navigating the entire situation like itās just another Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Caltrans has already placed another 600 orange construction barrels ahead because apparently the freeway wasnāt confusing enough.
And donāt even THINK about missing your exit.
In California, missing one exit doesnāt mean youāre five minutes lateā¦
It means youāve just volunteered for a 32-mile sightseeing tour of Los Angeles traffic, complete with palm trees, brake lights, and enough time to reconsider every life decision youāve ever made.
And if you think the traffic disappears when you leave Los Angeles, just wait until you hit the Bay Area, where the Bay Bridge, I-80, Highway 101, and the 880 can turn a simple drive into a full-day adventure.
This isnāt traffic anymore.
THIS IS CALIFORNIA FREEWAY SURVIVAL MODE.
Everythingās bigger in Californiaā¦
The freeways, the traffic jams, the construction zones, the gas bills, and the emotional damage caused by missing your exit.
BE HONEST: Which California freeway tests your patience the MOST?
I-405 in Los Angeles
I-80 around the Bay Area
Highway 101
I-5 through Los Angeles
Or ALL OF THEM?!
Drop your answer in the comments, and tell us which California city youād NEVER want to drive through during rush hour!

Vance: "One of the things the president has set us out to do as a high priority is to open the straits. That's now happened."
McFaul: "The strait was open before your war. Your war closed it. And then you had to pledge billions and billions to these autocrats to reopen it. This unnecessary war is Trump's worst foreign policy mistake."

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth: "Well, I canāt give you the exact number, but I certainly know who our allies are: South Korea, Japan, and Australia..."
Tammy Duckworth: "None of the countries you just mentioned are members of ASEAN. I suggest you do your homework better before engaging in these kinds of discussions."
