Replying to @WhoCalledMeUK
@WhoCalledMeUK it looks like the app is not available in the App Store anymore, do you know if / when it will come back?
Somehow X just attached a picture rather than linking to the app install page, you can get it from here: who-called.co.uk

@1Password in Safari, when I try and click the icon to fill in a password, or go through the extension install flow and click « Finish Setup in Safari », it opens a blank tab in Safari. Any idea how to fix this? Latest version on 1Password and Safari.
Got my Quest 2 over the weekend and we tried Horizon Workrooms with @maksim_ovtsin and the team: it is THE FUTURE. You map your screen and keyboard in VR so you can just use your Mac in there, draw stuff with the controller, great sense of presence about.fb.com/news/2021/08/in…

The Imperial report on the new UK B117 strain is out. Very concerning findings, that highlight why we need to act on this *now*. These findings suggest that the situation within the UK is likely to get much worse than it is now. Here's why-

Got my £10 ESP32 boards and temperature sensors yesterday, fun couple of hours getting MicroPython to run on it, documented my steps if you want to try it out as well gist.github.com/ndfred/3d146…
Next steps: hooking it up to HomeKit so I can get temperature and humidity readings on my iPhone, and maybe an MQTT setup to record historical data developer.apple.com/support/…
The boards took 3 weeks to ship, no soldering required and setup went swimmingly (MicroPython gives you a REPL which is awesome to start up), really happy so far! xitter.cf/ndfred/status/11854554…
TIL you can build a Wifi-enabled temperature sensor for about £10 🤯 wemos.cc
Looking forward to a fun week-end project!
macOS Catalina will disable Photos.app’s iCloud sync if you logout / login to iCloud to fix the annoying « You need to log back into iCloud » error messages (which @siracusa mentioned on @atpfm this week). Obviously re-syncing everything takes forever.
