U.S. AWAITS IRAN'S RESPONSE ON PEACE SUMMIT AS ISRAEL WATCHES WARILY The U.S. is waiting on Iran’s response to a possible peace summit as early as Thursday, with mediators involved—but it’s unclear if talks will happen. Donald Trump wants to wind down the war, but uncertainty remains high. Israel, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, fears a deal that falls short and limits its military options. Washington says Iran may accept parts of a 15-point plan, including nuclear limits, but there’s no proof and Tehran denies active negotiations. Meanwhile, the U.S. is preparing for escalation—including troop deployments—while exploring diplomacy. Officials expect at least 2–3 more weeks of fighting as both sides weigh their next move.
