Regardless of the result pretty disappointed with Villanova this first game. Meaning they’ll beat Xavier by 20 both times we play
Can anyone who says "Yea the Yankees and Dodgers would outbid the small market teams every time" explain the existence of the post 2019 Carolina Hurricanes
Pirates fans want the salary cap so we can get people to stop talking like this.
The stanley cup was won last year by a team in fucking Raleigh
If you look at a prospect list from 2011, there are maybe 3 players who would be worth it to trade Votto for in hindsight, and 2 of them(Harper and Trout) were 100% untouchable. What’s the point of trading your obviously good players if the prospect package is often underwhelming
Joey Votto:
“I would trade Elly (De La Cruz) for as many prospects as possible.”
Votto went on to say the Reds should NOT have extended him in 2012: “they should have flipped me at year 4.5-5.”

I need every Pirates fan to hammer in cap discussion as much as possible. It’s personally astounding that baseball fans in small markets don’t want it.
One thing I despise about bad rules in sports is that they usually can't be rid of or I often see solutions that try to cope around the problem. Best example right now is the ghost runner
Conference built on the back of former Xavier players/commits
Our conference preview series continues with the A10!
The league is seeing a bit of a resurgence at the top in the NIL era. Will we get three-bid A10 for the first time since 2018?

Seeing complaints like this all across college football from 2nd/3rd tier teams. It just has to be NIL and the fact that players are mercenaries at this moment, so the fans in turn don't get attached.
