WHY I’M RUNNING FOR CALIFORNIA STATE SENATE MY VISION FOR CALIFORNIA I have no intention of being a legislator that does nothing.  I welcome everyone UP THERE to join me and be a part of a broad coalition that is willing to work hard, call out EVERYONE that is a part of the problem and design a plan that gets ACTUAL RESULTS.  That’s how I did business in the private sector beginning in sales, that in time built up a business as a visionary entrepreneur and conquered an industry at an executive level.  Now I get the opportunity to do this, make California better than it’s been – one win at a time. California is too expensive for a decent family or a young couple with a meager salary to live.  It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find a job.  Once you do find a job, there’s no guarantee that it will last.  Every other day our favorite venues realize they can’t afford to stay in business.  They close-up shopand cut jobs that never come back.  Crime has run rampant in California.  We’ve all watched the “Smash and Grab” operations, COMMITTED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.  Our current Governor-in-Thief, Newsom has done nothing.  In fact, he literally fought AGAINST the effort to increase penalties, catch these thieves and hold them accountable.  The Democrats in charge are a Den of Thieves - these criminals stick together Trans-Drug “THERAPY” for our kids paid for by our tax-dollars?! By order of Newsom and School Administrators teachers were told not to share information with parents, that's crazy.   (It’s not therapy).  I call it what it is, it’s CHILD ABUSE  and pure evil. Gavin Newsom AND School Administrators STOLE the authority to hide all this information from parents – responsible parents are the only people that should have the authority and right to make these decisions and raise their children, NOT the State!  If there are exceptions to the rule they shouldn’t dictate public policy.  Newsom has placed our children in direct, irreparable harm FOR LIFE. This isn’t just the first time I’ve waded into this conversation. I have a history of calling these abusive acts of criminal enterprise by administrators, bureaucrats and politicians out on Radio. I hope to get the chance to call them out to their faces. Sincerely, Mike Netter Businessman, Taxpayer Advocate, Californian (I will not give up on California and restoring the California Dream that we deserve.)

Ok this is getting weirder and weirder The full headline is “Ilhan Omar gives head-scratching response when asked if she’s related to her ex-husband in first interview since DC raid.” The image cuts it off at “head-” for the obvious double entendre. In the interview (her first public appearance since federal agents raided her Washington, D.C. home), Hayes asked about the long-standing allegations that her former husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, was her brother (claims that the marriage was for immigration purposes). Omar called the brother claims “insane” and said they originated on a Somali blog that was later amplified by critics. When asked if there was any “weird kernel of truth” or whether she was related to him in any way, she replied “Not to my knowledge

A biomedical engineer spent 100 days living underwater in the Atlantic Ocean. When he finally came back to the surface, researchers found some surprising changes in his body. Dr. Joseph Dituri, a former U.S. Navy diver, lived inside a pressurized underwater habitat in Florida as part of an experiment studying how long-term pressure affects the human body. He stayed there for more than three months. Afterward, he reported sleeping more deeply. His cholesterol and inflammation markers improved. His stem-cell count increased. And his telomeres, protective structures linked with cellular aging, appeared to lengthen. Some reports described the overall changes as making him roughly 10 years “biologically younger.” That does not mean he literally reversed a decade of aging, and scientists still need much more research to understand the effects. But the experiment produced enough unusual results to raise a fascinating question. Could pressure, sleep and the underwater environment influence how our bodies age? He went beneath the ocean for 100 days. And came back with biological markers that appeared healthier than when he went in.

In early 1851, the Oatman family joined a larger emigrant group heading from the Midwest to California. Seeking the junction of the Gila and Colorado Rivers, they soon disagreed with the group's leadership. The decision to continue alone left them with a single covered wagon, exhausted oxen, and hundreds of miles of unmapped desert ahead. For six days they moved slowly through rugged country in present-day Arizona. The Gila River was flooded, and the only place to rest was a small sandbar in its middle. The location offered water but no protection and no neighbors. It was here, on March 18, 1851, that a small group from the Tolkepaya band of Western Yavapai approached their camp. The encounter ended with the loss of Royse, Mary Ann, and four of their children. Their son Lorenzo, 15, survived and sought help, while daughters Olive, 13, and Mary Ann, 7, were taken and later lived among the Mojave. The story of their isolation and survival became one of the most remembered pioneer stories of the American Southwest. "On March 18, 1851, a single covered wagon stopped on a small sandbar in Arizona's Gila River. The Oatman family had left Missouri for California, but after disagreements, they continued alone — nine people, exhausted oxen, and no wagon train for protection. After six grueling days through flooded desert, they camped on this isolated bar. The next morning, an encounter with the local Western Yavapai changed their journey forever, leaving only three survivors and creating a story that would be told across America for generations." Now what problems are YOU having today?

This morning outside the Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building I asked Sheng Thao three questions. 1.) Who is paying for her lawyer? 2.) Does she endorse Barbara Lee for re-election? 3.) Does she endorse Measure EE, the strong-mayor charter amendment? She did not respond. Measure EE would give the mayor veto power, direct control over most department heads, and more executive authority than Oakland has today. Barbara Lee broke a tie to put it on the November ballot. It is too soon to hand the mayor’s office even more power while the last mayor is on trial for allegedly selling it. The trial resumes today. Stay tuned.

High tides are returning to the Long Beach Peninsula, where waves have already red-tagged 13 homes and wrecked sections of the historic boardwalk. As an $11.4 million sand replenishment effort continues, residents are asking city leaders for permanent solutions before the next big swell hits.

A 47-foot-wide hole in one California dam’s spillway has reportedly gone unrepaired for more than 30 years. With an El Niño winter approaching, an audit found 57 dams in poor or unsatisfactory condition. Share this anyone who follows California water and flood safety. Story link in first comment. California State Auditor’s Report 2025-603 (released around mid-October 2026) found that, as of May 2026, 57 of the state’s roughly 1,222 jurisdictional dams were in poor or unsatisfactory condition. Of those, 40 carry high or extremely high hazard ratings. The auditor warned that failures of the riskiest ones could collectively endanger as many as 1.5 million people and cause more than $265 billion in economic damage, with many clustered near the Bay Area, San Diego, and Los Angeles areas. Repair costs for dams in less-than-satisfactory condition were estimated at around $28 billion. The report specifically noted one dam with a 47-foot-wide hole in its spillway that has gone unrepaired for more than 30 years. The audit said this could cause flooding affecting nearly 300 people and more than $88 million in damage. The dam is not named, with state water officials citing security concerns (though condition and hazard ratings for individual dams are published in annual reports). Context includes the approaching El Niño winter and potential for heavy rains. The Department of Water Resources has had expanded enforcement authority (reservoir restrictions, liens, fines, etc.) since 2017 legislation after the Oroville spillway near-failure, but the audit found it has never taken punitive enforcement actions despite referring owners of dozens of dams. Staffing, funding, and other constraints were cited. Many issues stem from aging infrastructure built under older standards and owners’ inability to fund repair

On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, I addressed the City Council with a simple message: public service requires more than attention. It requires judgment, discipline, and the ability to get things done. I’ve lived in Arcadia since 1967. After nearly 40 years in law enforcement and eight years as a City Commissioner, I’ve seen what happens when city government is consumed by personal disputes and the next headline. Neighborhoods still need protection. Taxpayer dollars still demand careful oversight. Residents still expect answers. In law enforcement we learned to establish the facts first, ask hard questions, work with the people responsible, and follow through. Those same principles should guide City Hall. District 2 deserves a serious discussion about the standards of its representation. Examine each candidate’s record. Ask what has actually been accomplished. Consider how decisions will affect our community long after Election Day. A headline can win a day’s attention. Only responsible decisions and meaningful results can earn a community’s lasting trust. I hope I’ve earned your vote. Video of my full remarks is attached. #Arcadia #ArcadiaCA #District2 #Vote #CityCouncil #PublicService #Accountability

🚨SCOOP: Sidelined Secret Service Comms Director Anthony Guglielmi's photo, name, and title have been removed from the agency website. Guglielmi was removed from the website several weeks after he was escorted out of the building and put on administrative leave, along with two other members of the Secret Service communications department. Yet, Guglielmi's personal social media accounts still identify him as the Secret Service communications director. Both the FBI and CIA are participating in the inquiry, pointing to a probe with more weight than a routine internal personnel matter. Multiple Secret Service sources tell @RCPolitics Guglielmi is not coming back to work at the agency, although the Secret Service and FBI leaders have not disclosed the allegations against him and are keeping the matter under tight control. Several agents believe it has something to do with the press reports on the Secret Service's use of a decoy plan to ferry President Trump out of Turkey. The Secret Service has not returned @RCPolitics press inquiries since LAST DECEMBER, when we reported on an FBI raid of an agent's home as part of a sprawling IRS allegation. The apparent black-listing of a reporter from receiving answers to pressing Secret Service questions occurred even though this reporter received the 2024 DAO Award for Investigative Journalism from her peers for her Secret Service reporting in the wake of the Butler assassination attempt against President Trump. Over the last year, RCP has submitted numerous dozens of inquiries to the Secret Service press shop that went unanswered. In just the last week, the allegations involve a friendly-fire drone takedown over the Army-Navy game last year first reported without sourcing and context by @60Minutes; whether outgoing Deputy Director Matt Quinn has conflict-of-interest issues with his former employer, Fortem Technologies, and a $1 BILLION contract for drone hunters that Fortem makes; whether that contract was competitively bid and whether his announced departure has anything to do with this conflict-of-interest or other allegations of Secret Service personnel taking kickbacks on other contracts. Other @RCPolitics inquiries that went unanswered include several agents' arrests, including one for indecent exposure and masturbating in a hotel hallway, another for a DUI, another for NYE charges involving the shooting and death of a half brother; and still another for a manslaughter charge for a near-fatal fraternity incident, and just last week, an inquiry into who is in charge of communications at the Secret Service with Guglielmi sidelined and under investigation. Do you think there's a legitimate reason why @RCPolitics has been blacklisted for Secret Service responses to my inquiries while 60 Minutes and other reporters who don't regularly cover the agency get invited to the agency's Rowley Training Center to do softball interviews? I'll include my story on Guglielmi's late August departure in the link below.
