We spoke to Lodewijk this afternoon about his consumer-owned land fund. He and his wife run an organic dairy farm and have an event room available to rent as well as a care farming business
Today we heard from Joanne who is using crowdfunding to make the transition to sustainable farming. Her farm produces their own cheese and has 4 self-service farm shops operated entirely by app.
Yesterday we spoke to Pieter who runs a self-harvest market garden with over 400 members outside of Wageningen, NL. The business was crowdfunded by members investing in the land.
This week we are visiting the Netherlands (both in person and online) to learn about Dutch models for new entrants accessing land and capital including #crowdfunding
