Every time I'm on a zoom call with fellow therapists and dietitians, the gallery view of several people nodding with compassion and understanding in response to the speak makes me laugh and also fills my heart with a special kind of joy.
Just saw a sponsored ad for @noom where someone shared their exact weight and how many pounds they've lost. It's wild to me that Noom's party line continues to be that they're not a diet and they're not a weight loss company when every single thing they do contradicts this.

Reading an article from 1999 that begins a) diets don't work, b) weight fluctuation is associated with increased mortality, c) chronic dieting is an ED risk factor
22 years later we're doing the same research to prove the same points. Exasperated beyond actual belief.

There is a lot to unpack in this article but @TZuckerbrot "every single well-known diet plan has a 1,200 calorie option" is not the flex you think it is. That is true and thus not a surprise that 20-25% of people who do these kind of diets develop EDs.
