Some things to think about for fantasy as we move on to week 8 for fantasy football: Trust concentrated offenses. JSN, Puka Nacua, Ja’Marr Chase, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Zay Flowers, Drake London and Trey McBride continue to earn opportunity independent of game script. Their volume is far more dependable than touchdown-dependent production. Buffalo, Dallas, Detroit, Cincinnati and Jacksonville are our most reliable fantasy ecosystems. New England recently joined that group: its offensive EPA/play improved from -0.048 over Weeks 1–4 to +0.144 since Week 5. Miami’s improvement is rushing-driven. Its neutral pass rate has fallen to approximately 40%. Malik Willis’ legs and the backfield can succeed without creating dependable receiver volume. Minnesota’s defense is legitimately exceptional. It leads the league in defensive EPA/play by a massive margin. Seattle, Tampa Bay, Denver, and Kansas City have also become defenses we should avoid attacking blindly. Miami, Dallas, Buffalo, Washington, and Detroit remain favorable defenses to target, though the weakness varies by position. Role growth is more predictive than recent touchdowns. Loveland, Omar Cooper, Makai Lemon, and Kyle Pitts have all added recent targets. Braelon Allen, Ollie Gordon and Woody Marks have gained significant backfield work. Don’t chase touchdowns. Jameson Williams and Tony Pollard are improving, but their recent TD rates shouldn't be treated as their new median.
