I learned Python about 7 years ago and I'll admit it was extremely difficult for me.
I didn't have any background in coding or computer science so I really didn't understand how to do anything.
Here's what I found out about learning a programming language from scratch:
1. Start with the Basics
Focus on understanding the fundamentals before diving into complex projects. I tried a few projects that were above my skill level and I almost quit. After learning the basics the projects came naturally.
2. Learn Consistently
If you learn for a month and don't use it for 2 years you'll forget almost all of it. Use it consistently and you'll remember 10x as much.
3. Break Down Problems
Learn to break down complex tasks into smaller, manageable pieces to make coding less overwhelming.
4. Utilize Resources
I used 100s of online resources when I was learning. Find one that clicks for you and learn as much as you can. There are so many good ones out there!
5. Be Patient and Persistent
Progress may be slow at first, but practicing consistently and not giving up will pay off in the long run.
