people are starting to realize. there *are* no moats left. the only true moat in existence was intelligence, and now that's out of the equation.

Linus Torvalds says, rules prohibiting AI usage are “UTTERLY STUPID” and “idiotic”. For the Linux kernel, Torvalds says, “we’re not going to make stupid rules that say ‘you can’t use tools for X’”.

Singularity intensifying
Claude has discovered a previously unknown enzyme system hidden in the DNA of bacteriophages. Beside the enzyme’s gene sits a long array of repeating DNA—a structure that looks somewhat similar to CRISPR. We don’t yet understand what this system does, but only a handful of known systems share its features, and all of them are able to cut, copy, and paste DNA. Historically, the discovery of such programmable systems has helped revolutionize medicine. CRISPR, for instance, is now the foundation of genetic medicines. But it will take much more work to learn what this system does, and whether it can be put to similar use. Read more: anthropic.com/news/claude-di…

Massive props to @0xSchatz / @historics_xyz on the new @Namecoin Explorer 👏 A sleek, open-source explorer tracking 792K+ .bit names, namespaces, name operations, and expiry status in real time Why this matters: Namecoin is the original Bitcoin fork (2011) and the first solution to Zooko's Triangle; human-meaningful, secure, AND decentralized naming While traditional DNS can be seized, censored, or taken offline, .bit domains live on a blockchain secured by Bitcoin-style proof-of-work, battle-tested for 15 years with no downtime by design Explorers like explorer.namecoin.co/ are the transparency layer that makes it all verifiable: anyone can audit names, blocks, and operations without trusting a middleman That's the whole point! 🧠 Decentralized naming only works if anyone can look under the hood 💙⛓️

Official launch for Namecoin.co initiatives! As the first initiative, we have open-sourced the explorer.namecoin.co with MIT License, so this eliminates the struggle for a proper Namecoin explorer once and for all! And this is not all! Stay tuned.

This is biblical. A woman in her eighties. Ten years into Alzheimer's. Hadn't spoken a full sentence in five years. Takes one, 5 gram dose of psilocybin. She slept 19 hours and woke up and spoke for hours about her life, recognized family and held real conversations. She regained bladder control after five years, walked on her own. and dressed herself. Gains held for weeks.
