A military helicopter landed in the home of Uganda's main opposition candidate Bobi Wine and took him to an unknown location, his party has said.
The opposition leader has been under house arrest since vote counting began following Thursday's election where he ran against long-serving President Yoweri Museveni.
The spokesperson of his National Unity Platform party, Joel Ssenyonyi, earlier told local media that military officers had scaled the fence surrounding his house on Friday and allegedly molested his private security.
Bobi Wine had rejected preliminary election results from Uganda's Electoral Commission, which put 81-year-old President Museveni in a distant lead.
The government reportedly cut power supply to his home before the military raid, as the Internet remains shutdown nationwide.

Last night was very difficult at our home in Magere. The military and police raided us. They switched off power and cut off some of our CCTV cameras. There were helicopters hovering over.
