Embassy of India, in coordination with NGO for Cultural Diversity for Peaceful Future (NGOCDPF), hosted an evening of Indian classical dance at the Rustaveli Theatre in Tbilisi on 23 October 2026. About 150 guests including Georgian officials, member of diplomatic corps, distinguished guests from business, academia, media and civil society, along with Indian diaspora and students attended the event.
Trikayaa Dance Foundation, an Indian Council for Cultural Relations group, blended two classical traditions, Mayurbhanj Chhau of Odisha and Bharatanatyam of Tamil Nadu, in three segments. “Samagam” opened with an invocation to Lord Ganesha and celebrated the many colours of India. “Shiv Shakti” honoured Lord Shiva and Goddess Shakti, the cosmic force of creation. “Bharatam: From Exile to Eternity” told the Ramayana’s story of Lord Rama’s journey and the triumph of dharma, ending with his return to Ayodhya.
The performance showed the shared spirit of India’s classical traditions and the warm cultural ties between India and Georgia.

The Embassy of India, in coordination with NGO Cultural Diversity for Peaceful Future (NGOCDPF), hosted an evening of Indian-Georgian cultural performances at the Chokhatauri Cultural Centre, on 24 October 2026.
More than 300 participants including officials from the Governor of Guria region’s Office; the Head of Chokhatauri Municipality along with municipality officials; officials from Women for Women Georgia; Embassy officials; NGOCDPF members; and local Georgians attended the event.
The event brought together Georgian and Indian performances. From the Georgian side, young children and teenage artists from the Rcheuli and Ilekro groups presented traditional Georgian dances. From the Indian side, the Trikayaa Dance Foundation, an Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) group, presented a fusion of Bharatanatyam and Mayurbhanj Chhau. At the end, both Georgian and Indian groups came together for joint performances.
The joint performances on one stage showed the warm friendship, shared love of the arts and strong people-to-people ties between India and Georgia.

ღონისძიებას 300-ზე მეტი სტუმარი დაესწრო, მათ შორის რეგიონული და მუნიციპალური ხელისუფლების წარმომადგენლები, ორგანიზაცია „ქალები ქალებისთვის საქართველოში“, საელჩოსა და NGOCDPF-ის წარმომადგენლები და ადგილობრივი მოსახლეობა.
ქართული ანსამბლების „რჩეულისა“ და „ილექროს“ ახალგაზრდა შემსრულებლებმა ქართული ტრადიციული ცეკვები წარმოადგინეს, ხოლო ინდოეთის კულტურულ ურთიერთობათა საბჭოს (ICCR) ჯგუფმა Trikaaya Dance Foundation-მა ბჰარატანატიამისა და მაიურბჰანჯ ჩჰაუს სინთეზი შეასრულა.
საღამო ქართველი და ინდოელი შემსრულებლების ერთობლივი წარმოდგენით დასრულდა, რომელმაც კიდევ ერთხელ წარმოაჩინა ორ ქვეყანას შორის მეგობრობა და მტკიცე კულტურული კავშირები.

Indian classical art and Georgian traditional dances became a language of dialogue between India and Georgia during two cultural evenings organized by the Embassy of India in Georgia with the NGO Cultural Diversity for Peaceful Future (NGOCDPF).

About 150 guests attended, including Georgian officials, diplomats, media, business and academic representatives, students and members of the Indian diaspora.
