Oklahoma got dragged into the SEC with Texas because there wasn’t much other choice in that moment. But leaving the Big 12 meant leaving dominance behind and becoming just another program trying to win in a league where everyone tries to win. But ultimately someone has to lose.

What is happening in Norman is baffling. Smart, successful, driven, and ambitious people are not supposed to make mistakes like this. The data is there. The eye test results are in. And yet you double down. Triple down. Blinders to what is happening at other football programs around the country. You really don’t get the zeitgeist of any era of OU football. Wilkinson. Switzer. Stoops. We dominated. You have chosen mediocrity instead. This is on you. Not the players.

I am not a Texas fan. Texas not being in the top ten right now is why Coaches schedule bums. Texas has beaten Ohio State, Ole Miss & Tennessee. But we love Mickey Mouse teams. Can’t blame Coaches for scheduling bad when this is what voters do!
