I ❤️working with John, this time he helped an amazing team to identify a class of vulnerabilities that exposed over a billion dollars worth of cryptocurrency to anyone willing to 'crunch the numbers'. The fatal flaw? Not enough chaos,💥 Same time - same “random” wallet! Unbelievable.

Here we explain why applying high-performance compute to ZKP is crucial for success of the web3 ecosystem.
We take a historical walk through some of the most impactful and successful IT sectors and correlate their adoption trajectory with the state of today's ZKP ecosystem. We translate these historical trends in performance and cost into a roadmap for HPZKP.
We predict that proof systems will:
1. Be inherently more parallel to tackle the most computationally intensive phases of proof generation.
2. Become faster and cheaper by using DMA-based hardware accelerators to overcome CPU bottlenecks.
3. In the long term, move towards application-specific Systems-on-Chip, which allow for reprogramming to support frequent protocol changes and are likely to embed CPU cores with ZK-friendly instruction set architectures.
