It's impossible to overstate just devastating last night was for the GOP's future White House prospects. If TX and GA stay blue, Republicans could sweep every swing state and still fall short of 280 electoral votes. Their path to the Presidency is closed.

Last night, Sen. Andy Kim (D-NJ) told me something I keep thinking about: While Democrats may want to celebrate, they need to remember that this isn't a sporting event. This is Americans sending the strongest signal possible that they are in pain, and hurting, and want help. Now Congress needs to answer that call. It was powerful stuff, and if the party is smart they'll follow his instincts.

Mississippi's count could run into the morning, but the signs point to Colom. Late votes here can get bluer, mail is accepted for 5 more business days, and as in Louisiana, Black turnout is expanding the electorate. Colom looks poised to win.

Democrat's 2026 Senate math is so bad when you actually stare at it on the map. They need to win every state in dark blue, every state in sky blue, and 2/4 of the "longshot" states in light grey-blue. That would be enough for a *bare* 51-49 majority.
