India’s Account Aggregator data sharing framework announces its financial model after months of negotiation! It already enables about $3.6B USD in loans monthly - this will help it scale to its potential and unlock another INR 20 trillion in financing over the next few years. Tying the model to bank-SLAs is also a smart way to standardise data availability uptimes. With an answer on interoperability from RBI last week, the ecosystem is set to become a trusted backbone for the financial sector! Looking forward to #SamvAAd tomorrow! share.google/O1Lw7tNBl0fRQjv… @bgmahesh @sahamati
Why do they release such half baked products 🤧
Did you download Google Foresight yet?

Godspeed my friend @is_rajva
As we get ready to open @thelayerproject to everyone, we wanted to thank the people who helped make it possible those who trusted us, gave us their time, and helped build it alongside us.
The Wall of Gratitude is now live on our website. A small thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey.

Vertical personal agents and account ownership
I don't buy that there will be one general-purpose personal agent. I think there will be specific agents for:
•productivity / work
•food and grocery
•money
•health
Each of these will be owned by whoever controls the system of record and the right to act. Take money. The money agent should be your bank account and execute transactions on your behalf. It has the ledger, the license, the fraud models, and the liability when something goes wrong. A general agent that "logs into" your bank is a screen scraper with ambition. The bank that becomes an agent is the agent.
The same pattern repeats:
•Food and grocery: Whoever owns the cart, the inventory, and the last mile. The agent knows what's in your fridge because it put it there.
•Health: Whoever holds your records, your labs, and a relationship with a licensed provider. Advice without the chart is a guess. Action without a license is a lawsuit.
•Productivity / work: Whoever owns your calendar, inbox, and docs. Context is the moat, and it already lives somewhere.
Agents win on three things: data, permission, and accountability. A horizontal agent can borrow the first, beg for the second, and has none of the third.
Trust isn't general either. I'll let an agent book my dinner without asking. I won't let the same agent wire $50K or change my medication. Each domain has its own risk tolerance, its own regulation, and its own definition of "done." One agent can't hold all of those thresholds at once.
The general-purpose agent doesn't disappear. It becomes the router. It's the front desk that knows which specialist to call. That's a real product, but it's thin. Routers commoditize, and the specialists capture the value.
The question isn't "who builds the best assistant?" It's "who owns the account the assistant acts on?" The incumbents with licenses and ledgers have a bigger head start than they realize. The startups that win will either become the system of record in a vertical or make themselves impossible to route around.
The future isn't one agent that does everything. It's a handful of agents that each own something.
What a cool thing this is
The Tangaliya products are here. We have made our classic point collar shirt - The Jack, and the newest addittion to our artefact collection, a versatile Conte Jacket - The Sammy.
All the patrons who pre ordered teh Tangaliya, get to choose between the two. While the Shirt is great and can also double as an overshirt, I want to take a moment and talk about the jacket we have newly designed.
This Jacket is a true Behrupiya Jacket as @ku1deep likes to call it. It goes from a formal Bandhgala style Jacket, to a semi-casual band collar Jacket to a completely casual lapel jacket with rolled up sleeves in seconds. Designed as an everyday mix between a chore jacket and leisurewear, this is one Jacket I believe everyone must have in their wardrobe.
A very big thanks you to all the patrons who showed trust in us and pre-ordered without knowing how will it turn out. Personally, the products have turned out to be much better than I expected initially. For those who would like to order it now, the products are now live on @thelayerproject website for new orders.

The most important technology problem of the next 5 years:
Creating a broadly accepted standard for agents to identify themselves to service providers, so that providers can adjust the way they interface with clients (as compared to human-based traffic).
In the interim (i.e., for the next 6 months), there will be a cat-and-mouse game that agents will play -- to circumvent detection and maintain their product's utility during this growth phase.
However, this will only be a stopgap and it will not be the terminal state of the world.
Banger move. Can become like android

Announcing Muse Gadgets, an open source ESP32 firmware and Linux sdk so that you can make hardware devices that work with Muse.
Grab an API token from gadgets.muse.ai and point your favorite coding agent at the github repo to build your own peripherals for Muse.

We are ready for Apple Pay!
Tokenised cards on Apple Pay / Google Pay provide the fastest consumer payments experience.
💯
This will be a bigger battle than anyone anticipates. It is only a matter of time before there is an Apple and Google version of Muse and possibly TikTok, in addition to the frontier LLM agents. Maybe a commerce agent from Amazon.
Every app that is a services, marketplace or commerce app will need to existentially decide to open APIs for consumer agents to interact. Smaller players have no choice. Ad revenues are more than transaction fees, either the consumer benefits or distribution aggregators will demand a higher transaction fare.
I know I don't want an agent for each app. I would like my agent to be able to do tasks I require. We can already see consumers getting trained on that behavior by the frontier labs.
Those with network moats - restaurants, groceries, drivers might be able to withstand for a while, over time convenience and end user experience will win and they will have to align. Content moats (protected by copyright) could decide to allow agents or chose to hold on to the consumer interaction. I suspect other than the feeling of a lack of control, it won't change their economics.
Commoditized back ends will need to worry, insurance, tickets, hotels, services - if they don't adapt new players will.

Beautifully articulated on what India needs to do in AI safety.

Super alignment is here?
We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so.
Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.
