Tried booking flights with all my agents 1hr later, discovered what actually works today: 1. @davehappyminion (@openclaw) - opened browser on my mac mini to search - tried logging in to Alaska - refused to do CAPTCHA (tbf not upgraded to latest Codex) - note: had used @OpenAI computer use to book flights last December - though slow worked! 🔴 result: refused to do CAPTCHA 2. Bob (@OpenAI Dot) - Interestingly agreed to do CAPTCHA (though codex didn't) - First login failed bc submitted before completing the CAPTCHA - Second login failed because the CAPTCHA expired before password submission - I took over browser and did captcha - Browser credential protection blocked checkout 🔴 result: trouble logging in & refused to do checkout 3. Stuart (@Muse) (yes they are all minions 🤣) - refused to log in to my alaska account / use browser - booked through @DuffelHQ - used @link to save cards & get tx history - used @DuffelHQ flight API to book flights - wasn't able to add TSA pre # - wasn't able to choose seats 🟡 result: took a bit of time but partially worked! 4. @instinct - tried automating browser, said "Alaska's site beat me: login worked and your account came up, but it kept killing the session at checkout." - @link for cards - used @DuffelHQ API to book (instinct refused to say what api, but showed up on @link) - no TSA pre or seats 🟡 result: smoothest experience, partially worked! Overall thoughts: - knowledge about you / information entry definitely key & lockin. booking flow will get smoothed out quickly by better browser use / apis. definitely will default to whatever knows all my info even if only 80% as good as others in tech. - real world frictions still need smooth out. The small interactions make or break the experience - booking flights still faster with google flights -> logged in airline account than agent. (this will prob change in < 2 months) - Instinct and @openclaw by far the best human style interaction and starting to feel like a real assistant - ultra clear that all of these technologies are incredible and over time will be the medium of interaction with the internet. Within 2 years agent chats & background agents likely replace 80% of human web browser use.
