A woman is killed by a partner or ex-partner every five days, most commonly in their own home. We urge media reporting on this case to do so sensitively and for anyone experiencing domestic abuse, Refuge’s National Domestic Abuse Helpline is available on 0808 2000 247.

Our thoughts are with Carol, Hannah and Louise Hunt and their family and friends following the devastating incident in Bushey. The news emerging last night that the suspected killer was known as an ex-partner of Louise has now made clear that this is a targeted domestic homicide.
