Turn the dial and get a small sign from the universe today! I recently got back from Japan, a trip filled with shrine visits, fortune reading, dango eating, and gachapon toy collecting. I wanted to take a piece of that joy home, so i made a digital version 🧵

The yunomi (Japanese teacup) kept getting generated with a handle. It took around three rounds with reference images to convince Lovable that japanese tea cups don't have handles. You could say that AI also defaults to the world it's seen most of.

Still far from satisfied with where it landed, but it's a fun little game meant to make someone smile. Need a sign from the universe today? Spin one and share your results: gachapon-fortune.lovable.app…

Most first-time consumer founders are stuck on the wrong problem. They tell me the brand isn't ready. They ask if they should run ads. They want to know what first-year revenue should look like. They're worried about their Instagram grid.

The cure isn't complicated. Get your product in front of 100 strangers who don't love you. Watch what they do. That's the work. Everything else is downstream.

I built two point-and-click adventure games for my seven-year-old over Chinese New Year. No coding experience. About $15 in Claude (@AnthropicAI) and @Lovable credits. But the real lesson wasn't technical.
