FA: It's been a YEAR since students and teachers were in the building learning and teaching in-person students. Give grace, but don't sacrifice what we know to be GOOD instructional pedagogy. #NNPSChat

FQ: You're not supposed to be "perfect" at it. This is new for everyone, so as long as you're doing your best by your students, you're a champion! Not to mention the kids will appreciate seeing the "human" version of you!! #NNPSChat

Q4: My biggest take away from this semester/experience is letting go of what has always worked and being flexible enough to understand we can’t completely replicate in-person virtually. There is always something new to learn! #nnpschat

A4: My biggest takeaway is that teachers and students can thrive in virtual learning environments, but we have to get real intentional about resources (🕑💲💻🍎💙) and support. #NNPSChat

Q2: In Geography we gave students a choice board, they all had the same assignment but their choices were how they completed and turned in the assignment. Almost every student of mine turned something in because they got to decide what the product was. Definitely a win! #NNPSChat

FA- My biggest takeaway from this module is to have norms in place but use variety of technology as well as teaching style. @Catlin_Tucker touched on forming Analytical, Synthesis, Debate, Cause/Effect, Compare/Contrast #NNPSChat

I would like to have students assess their participation online. It will help them claim ownership and hold them 100% accountable. #NNPSCHAT #7mindsets #eaglessoar
Q4: #CatlinTucker offers 7 strategies for engaging students in synchronous discussions in this blog post. What is something you want to do more frequently, or what would you add to the list based on your experiences? #NNPSChat

Q1: Our best synchronous & asynchronous discussions happen during "book club". Ss can respond to literature circle questions with their peers asynchronously (canvas, flipgrid etc.) & then can have deeper discussions synchronously; ask clarifying questions, debate etc. #NNPSChat

A5: I have used @nearpod, @GetKahoot, and @edpuzzle for formative assessments online. As we move through the material, I can see exactly how the Ss are doing. These platforms work great to keep Ss engaged & they are excited to use them! 🐉 #NNPSchat #DozierPE #DMSproud

A5- FEEDBACK🙌🏽Feedback 🙌🏽 Assessments need to get creative. Zoom polls, quick Google forms, Exit tickets, Canvas discussion boards are all new & old ways to use of effective formative assessments #NNPSChat

A5 Formative assessments at the beginning of the lesson provide the teacher with information about their students’ prior knowledge which can be used to assist with planning of instruction. #NNPSChat

A4: Differentiation strategies: small groups via breakout rooms. I see more engagement in small groups from students who don’t usually participate in our whole group lessons. #NNPSChat
