Today's @sfchronicle Austerity Slate endorsement slams other Board of Ed candidates for not agreeing that "there is no money left, the teachers' union took it all."
But the district's own budget presentation from Oct. 13 shows a $302M unspent surplus + $122M in reserves.

The district and legacy media engage in semantic debates over the definition but the fact remains there is over $400 million sitting unspent in their accounts.

As The Brazil election is heats up, I am walking around São Paulo interviewing random people.
In Rio De Janeiro there was a heavy Bolsonaro presence but here in downtown São Paulo there seems to be many Lula supporters.
By the end of the election there will either be parades of happiness or protests of anger.
No matter who wins there is always a loser.
