I've always suspected THE was a racist outlet - the way they report, what they choose &how they frame stories. No surprise 1 of their reporters helped hunt Prof Arday to his death & is nominated for an award. Media thrives on anti-Black racism.
PS Arday was cleared 4x.

Wow. Just spoke at the uni I left 10 years ago, where 18-year-old me dreamed of the activist and lawyer I’d become. To return as exactly the community lawyer she’d be proud of and on a panel with my former school teacher too. Nothing but divine alignment. ❤️ a blessed girl!

“Years do odd things to identity.” A poem by Ursula K. Le Guin.

ALT Leaves BY URSULA K. LE GUIN Years do odd things to identity. What does it mean to say I am that child in the photograph at Kishamish in 1935? Might as well say I am the shadow of a leaf of the acacia tree felled seventy years ago moving on the page the child reads. Might as well say I am the words she read or the words I wrote in other years, flicker of shade and sunlight as the wind moves through the leaves.

Four men, accused of sexually assaulting a woman who’d been drugged by her former husband, have appeared in court to stand trial.
Philip Young, a 50-year-old former Conservative councillor, has already pleaded guilty to drugging and assaulting his ex-wife Joanne, over a thirteen year period.
The four charged, Connor Sanderson-Doyle, Richard Wilkins, Norman Macksoni, and Mohammed Hassan, all deny committing sexual offences against Mrs Young.

Within a few weeks of Heartbleed, suddenly the idea that software libraries were critical infrastructure didn’t seem so silly. Money started flowing. Within a few weeks there was a new organization run by the Linux Foundation called the Core Infrastructure Initiative.
