If neither bloc secures 61 seats, the next battle begins: coalition building.
The final votes are counted and official results certified.
The president consults with the parties elected to the Knesset.
The president assigns the task of forming a government to the lawmaker considered most likely to succeed.
That lawmaker gets 28 days to negotiate a coalition, with a possible extension of up to 14 days.
If negotiations fail, another candidate may be given an opportunity.
If nobody can form a government,
Israel could face another election.
