The best part about Nigerian Pidgin is how constantly it evolves. A random Nigerian can invent an entirely original sentence, and another Nigerian will understand it perfectly. The language can only truly be mastered through total immersion.

There’s one part of @FungoLabs Genesis that I think people are seriously sleeping on:
the fact that the information stays hidden.
Think about why games are fun in the first place.
Poker wouldn’t be poker if you could see everyone’s cards.
Opening a card pack wouldn’t hit the same if you already knew what was inside.
Strategy games wouldn’t work if the entire map was visible from the start.
The unknown creates the game.
But blockchains have always had a problem with that.
Everything is transparent. Every card, stat, move, and piece of information can potentially be inspected by anyone.
So when you try to build games around hidden information, the usual solution is to move that information off-chain and trust a private server.
Fungo is taking a different approach.
Genesis NFTs are minted sealed, with their contents encrypted on Ethereum.
The information stays hidden, while the holder decides who can access it.
And because Fungo uses Zama’s FHE, smart contracts can interact with encrypted data without needing to reveal what’s actually inside.
That’s where things get interesting.
Imagine on-chain games with:
→ hidden player stats
→ secret moves
→ unopened packs nobody can peek into
→ battles where you don’t know your opponent’s abilities
→ assets whose traits are revealed only when you choose
The important part is that the mystery doesn’t have to leave the blockchain.
Fungo Genesis is only the starting point, but the bigger idea is pretty exciting:
bringing the hidden parts of games on-chain.
Because sometimes, not knowing what’s inside is exactly what makes the game fun.
NFT mints have always had one annoying problem: speed often matters more than conviction.
You can genuinely want an NFT, but if someone has a faster bot, better setup, or is willing to fight a gas war, you might never get the chance.
@FungoLabs is trying a different approach with its Genesis sealed-bid auction.
During the auction, bids stay encrypted using Zama FHE, so participants can't see what everyone else is bidding.
Once bidding closes:
→ The highest bids win the NFTs
→ Every winner pays the lowest winning bid
→ Any amount above that price is refunded
Say there are 3 NFTs and the bids are 3,000, 1,500, 1,000 and 500.
The top 3 win, but they all pay 1,000.
So the person who bid 3,000 gets 2,000 back.
That changes the whole dynamic.
No watching the mempool.
No panic bidding because someone else just raised.
No trying to guess what the next person is doing.
You simply decide what the NFT is worth to you and submit your bid.
The mechanism is still early, and launch day will be the real test.
But if it works as intended, Fungo could be showing us a pretty interesting alternative to the usual NFT mint chaos.

Today is November 5, and I think it’s worth looking beyond the Genesis collection and talking about where @FungoLabs is actually heading.
The Genesis NFTs are only one part of the bigger picture.
Fungo is building a Launchpad that will allow other creators to launch encrypted NFT collections, bringing programmable privacy into the NFT space in a way that goes beyond simply hiding transaction data.
And Genesis holders are positioned to benefit from that ecosystem.
For every collection launched through the Fungo Launchpad, Genesis holders are allocated at least 5% of the token supply.
On top of that, Fungo plans to share 20% of Launchpad revenue with Genesis holders.
So the Genesis collection isn’t just designed to be a collectible. It’s meant to have a role in the ecosystem that Fungo is building.
There’s even a game planned around the hidden traits and statistics of the Genesis NFTs, giving those NFTs another layer of utility beyond ownership.
That’s what makes the roadmap interesting to me.
Fungo isn’t trying to stop at one NFT collection.
It’s building toward a broader ecosystem where creators, collectors and privacy can all exist around the same infrastructure.
The Genesis is just the starting point.
Thursday came with something interesting.
@FungoLabs is finally launching its Genesis collection today, and there are 3,000 NFTs up for grabs across two phases.
The first one kicks off at 12:30 UTC.
500 Genesis NFTs will be given out for free to whitelist members and nominees, with a 3-hour window to claim.
Then at 15:30 UTC, the public auction starts.
2,500 NFTs will be available through a sealed-bid auction powered by cZAMA, and participants get 24 hours to place their bids.
Honestly, I’m more curious to see how the demand plays out once the public auction opens.
Free mint for the whitelist or putting in a bid?
Either way, today should give us a better picture of where the $FUNGO Genesis collection stands.
