Uninstall dbd, do not buy Terrifier or whatever sparkly new skin they wave at us until they DO something. Do not reward this lackluster behaviour.
Huge love and respect to creators who stepped from the program aswell, I appreciate how difficult that would have been.
Saw a 🥜 defender post a gif of someone's throat being cut open in response to someone else calling BHVR/DBD out. I'm not even surprised.
Given the situation this is the biggest nothing burger with a side of fuck all response.
This weekend, a Dead by Daylight team member awarded in-game content and currency to a creator streaming our game. Although it is not unusual to unlock content to give creators discovering DbD a chance to have a sneak peek at available content, this decision was made without receiving appropriate approvals. Furthermore, the team member's subsequent comments and conduct do not align with Dead by Daylight’s core values.
When concerns about this decision became apparent during the stream, we should have responded by looking into these concerns, not dismissing them.
Unfortunately, we’ve now seen the fallout of this decision unfolding in many conversations across the DbD community. We appreciate and stand with our community’s willingness to ensure our shared values are being upheld, at all times, regardless of popularity, and we’re heartbroken at the inflammatory language now being directed towards our community.
At the same time, threatening employees will never be acceptable, and we’re asking everyone to stop engaging with these posts.
We apologize to our community for letting you down. We have already begun reviewing our internal processes to prevent an incident like this from happening again.

I’m honestly really disappointed in how everything surrounding BHVR has unfolded. I’ve seen a lot over the last little while, and if I’m being honest, I’m still a little flabbergasted by it all.
For now, I think I’m going to take a small step back from DBD and spend some time elsewhere.
Starting Tuesday, I’ll be picking my Resident Evil journey back up! RE7 begins at 7 PM ET, and I’m looking forward to getting back into it.

Bringing this back up. Not only this, but this game features a lot of POC, and cultures of different backgrounds. Seeing a racist and homophobe probe the game and never even play it again is saying something. 🫠
