Excited to share our latest work (with co-first author @aliamini419 ) examining how adenovirus vectors activate Vd2+ gdT cells: doi.org/10.1002/eji.20214936…
Fully formatted version just published at @EurJImmunol
This contributes to a growing literature that Vd2+ gdT cells can be potently activated by cytokines.

I highly recommend this position to anyone looking for a post-doc. I had the great pleasure to work with Pablo for 5 years. An excellent scientist and colleague. His lab is doing really exciting work!

Excited to share our latest research in @PLOSPathogens examining immune parameters associated with worse outcomes in severe COVID-19 and influenza virus infection. Activation of #MAIT cells was the strongest predictor of poor outcome in both diseases.

Huge pleasure to work with @BicanicTihana and her group at @SGUL_III. Particular pleasure to work with my fellow lead authors @JonathanYoungs and Nicholas Lim.
Special thank you to @aliamini419 and @HannahRSharpe14 for working with me on the flow cytometry portion of the paper.
These findings contextualize studies from @SandbergLabKI and Agnes Lehuen, which linked MAIT cell activation and worse outcomes in COVID-19. From our broad screen of immune responses, MAIT cells were in fact the strongest predictor.
