Is the Anthropic S-1 a risk disclosure or a moat?
@StockSavvyShay reads all that risk language as a play for government guardrails that lock in Anthropic and OpenAI and slow open models from players like Meta.
@ntengler compares it to Philip Morris putting cancer warnings on cigarette packs, then spending the next 20 years defending against lawsuits.
The US made those warnings mandatory on every pack starting in 1966.
Regulation as moat, or honest disclosure?
What Anthropic paid its top executives in 2025, per the S-1 compensation table:
▫️ Dario Amodei: about $18M, mostly stock and option awards
▫️ Daniela Amodei: about $16M, a similar mix
▫️ Krishna Rao: about $1M, mostly salary
Equity awards are valued at grant date. For founders, the pay sits in the stock, like most of the company's payroll.
