The Point: Kenyan Journalists should acquire specific knowledge. If you must interview a Professor in Medicine bring someone with medical background.
You can’t bring “David Mwenje” to interview a Bridges Engineer and a Landscaping Architect. Or “Peter Salasya” to interview a Cardiologist? Why do you waste your viewers time?
In many countries you hear of Engineering Journalist, Medical Journalist, Political Journalist, Educational Journalist, Environmental Journalist among others. But in Kenya every other media personnel will station all sorts of interviews with Lattif, Linus, and Okwara glossing, stammering, wobbling, screaming and staggering over every topic under the sun.
