Links golf hits differently.
Official photographers have taken more than 20,000 photos at @TheOpen so far this week.
I scanned through them all to pick the 25 best.
Enjoy 🧵

Ridley Scott’s GLADIATOR was released 25 years ago this week. A sword and sandals classic, and the film that made a megastar of Russell Crowe, the making of story is worthy of the Colosseum…

NEW: Wild fight breaks out on a Carnival cruise ship to Central America at 3am after "a bunch of drunk girls from Tampa" had a disagreement.
This narrator did a tremendous job.
43-year-old passenger Nick Richardson said he was going to get some pizza when he walked into a war zone.
"Those girls were already set on what they were gonna do. It just got out of hand very, very quickly. And that’s how it happens. You’re just drinking too much," Richardson said.
Carnival released a statement about the incident, saying the guests involved were fined and are banned from sailing again.
"As is our policy, we will not tolerate such behavior and the guests involved were fined and will not sail on Carnival Cruise Line again," they said.

An FYI: To better reflect how ads can appear in Google Search today, we’ve updated the definition of top ads.
Note that this is a definitional change (as ads can appear above the organic result or below for certain queries) and doesn’t affect how performance metrics are calculated.
The update is now reflected in the relevant Help Center pages – for example here: support.google.com/google-ad…

I ranked a brand #1 in Google for the keyword "custom baby clothes."
It resulted in a massive increase in organic traffic and revenue.
And I've broken down the exact SEO strategy I used to achieve these results in the graphic below.
They were ranking at position #5 for the keyword when we got started with them.
But moving from position #5 to position #1 results in 4x more organic traffic.
So we knew that going for the #1 position would be worthwhile.

SEO Tip: want to make your eCommerce website stand out more in Google's search results?
Make sure to pay attention to the Merchant Listings report in Google Search Console, with two new items in particular having a big influence.
The report allows you to monitor whether Google is able to pick up on both your returns policy and shipping details for pages.
This data can then be reflected almost site-wide (for both product and category pages) in addition to stock availability, pricing, reviews stars, and more.
In my experience, Google can pick up on this data through making it available either in your Structured Data or through product feeds submitted to Merchant Center.
When working with clients in the eCommerce space, I regularly find that they are not making use of this new enhancement for their pages. So make sure to check!
At the moment, the enhancement is only available in the US, but Google has said that they are looking to expand its coverage in the near future.

Using REGEX in Google Search Console is like having keyword-research super powers 💪
Last year, I discovered a set of keywords, thanks to GSC.
Found my competitor's URL on it that is probably generating 50k-100k PVs/month.
Yes, now I rank #1.
Here's how to find these 👇
