Today's Rare Pepe Lore Lesson™️ is Series 36, Card 12 - PEPEGIANT by @obxium. This is a 1/100 card with a current floor price of .35 BTC ($20,754 USD). 70 wallets hold a copy of this card, and the top four holders own 20% of the total supply (20/100). This card is a parody of the Shepard Fairey designed André the Giant "OBEY" image. Prior to that iconic image, was the "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" street art campaign which Fairey created in 1989 while attending the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. This image was distributed by the skater community and graffiti artists which quickly spread to cities across the United States. In 1996 Fairey altered the image of André the Giant and changed the text to read OBEY, which Fairey has described as being a "transition into something that had more of an Orwellian connotation." It is this new image with the text "OBEY" which has become a worldwide phenomenon. Walk the streets of any city in the world and you will undoubtedly spot an OBEY sticker. My only question is wen PEPE stickers @obxium?
