Yes, and of course stupid Anthropic too, and their KYC-form which doesn't work and has made it impossible for me to create an account.

Mobile update time! Capturing notes on mobile took too many steps. Open app, pick mode, pick type, pick tag, pick destination... We just made it one tap. 👆 Widgets for Tana mobile are here. 🧵

Finally. Offline is out. This took a long time and a lot of tedious issues to get to the end. This time the last 20% took 8x the effort of the first 80%. 😭
Announcing Tana offline 🔌🎉 (just in time to go off-grid this weekend!) We're super excited to launch our most-requested feature, offline mode! Not “select which pages to download” offline. Full knowledge graph offline. Whether you are AWS's US-EAST-1 server or a knowledge worker reliant on Aussie broadband, sometimes you just need to disconnect 🔌 🧵 So here’s the quick what’s-what on working offline:

We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers. The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.

I seriously need to get away from Ubuntu. This snap-infection is slowing taking over. I've installed Firefox from the Mozilla APT repos, and had uninstalled Ubuntu's Snap package (I'm not a fan). Today I had two Firefoxes as Ubuntu had decided to install the Snap again!(?) :-<

The fact that Russia can still buy practically all military tech components from European companies to keep bombing Ukraine into rubble is a clear signal for me: most Europeans still don’t understand the threat we’re all up against. 7/

As floods & fires rise, oceans boil & ice melts, and "safe" temperatures are breached, something momentous just happened in the heart of the EU. No one has heard about it: journalists were present, but their editors refused to publish 🤯. 🧵, please RT. #BeyondGrowth2023 1/

Launching✨Tana AI for builders Yesterday we launched our first step towards making Tana AI part of our journey to reinvent how humans, teams, and computers work together. Our vision has always been to give you mind like water. With Tana AI we are bringing that vision to life.

In particular I'd say people leaving @twitter we're putting on a fast track to see how they can help super-charge @tumblr. We can't absorb thousands of people, but I'd be open to hiring entire teams if they already work great together.

So my friends are gone, the vision is murky, there is a storm coming and a no financial upside. What would you do? Would you sacrifice time with your kids over the holidays for vague assurances and the opportunity to make a rich person richer or would you take the out?

I loved this video. This is about the feature level I am on privately. I only need more things to take notes on outside of work and there isn't much of it these days. :) Should have had Tana during my student days. I should also have been more organised, but that's a constant.
Tana Tour with Andrea Stallvik! In this video, she shows us how she uses @tana_inc as a Biotech masters student, for her task system, and for managing her photography club. Amazing insights about the minimum structure required to make forward progress. youtube.com/watch?v=t-YpMobj…

**spicy NEW video** Is @tana_inc mostly for experts and smarties (like @DannyHatcher, @evielync, @RobertHaisfield, @cortexfutura @Trent_STEMpunk, @rjnestor ) or is it for us smooth-brains? 🧠💎 Join me in this SERIOUS, REAL argument! 👊🤔 youtu.be/ZeB0_nPxuU8 – at Ålesund, Norway

Last week I went to the first @tana_inc meetup in San Francisco. It was a rare opportunity to feel the buzz of this new tool, to meet a founder, a Tana PM, and the emerging community. Here's what I experienced and some of what I learned . . . 🧵

At the post office to get a package from @jimmyjoyfood. I'd paid €296 for the package including €50 postage. The Norwegian post office now wants an additional €412(!!!) in toll. I know you're expensive Norway but seriously WTF!? It's usually €100 extra, but this is insane.
