Darkest Dearlings!
I can't be online due to an unforeseeable appointment for the rest of the week and #ofdarkandmacabre / #faustianfriady RTs will unfortunately not take place for the time being!
I keep you posted!
Thank you for understanding & kind, dark regards,
Dirk

Rodney had drank in the pub till the wee hours, as was his usual custom, but this time it was different. He passed out and awoke wrapped around a lamppost, dressed in Victorian garb. When he asked a passerby the year, the incredible answer came: "1862."

He came with the mist. In autumn. Creeping, slouching, staggering with it, in it, from the river up to the spot where they had waylaid him one morning in the fog. Beat him to death. For his crime. And he came back. Every year. And stared. Through the mist.

He slumped with a metallic click, clink and the glow above died. As I moved into the yellow circle of the neighbouring light the man looked up. Or 'it' looked up. With another clink, clink it detached from the lamppost, stepped towards me. It's eyes gleamed. #picturewantsastory
