20 years ago today, I was the first lady to referee a World Championships match. I remember it so clearly, a match with so many memories for obvious reasons. I remember Alan Hughes introducing me and saying we were making history, no pressure with those stairs then! #girlpower

If you're a supervisor today, do me one thing.... look for the one officer you're not quite sure of is coping. Give them 5 minutes of your time, and ask them how they are... you may be surprised by their reaction.

Research shows police pay is an outlier amongst other protective services workers and the public sector. It has likely been negatively impacted due to police officer’s inability to strike and their lack of access to industrial rights. #FairPayForPolice

The ADHD urge to take on an unbelievably ambitious new project, in a field you previously have no experience in, with the full expectation that you’ll “figure it out somehow” along the way.

I lost my grandmas ring whilst in Edinburgh & I’m actually devastated. I’m assuming I’m not going to get it back at this point but if anyone on Twitter has found a small gold ring with a tiny emerald surrounded by 8 small diamonds pls let me know 🙏 #Edinburgh #lostring #lost

Just left Tesco. Handwritten note on the windscreen of my patrol car. '£100 fine for shopping on duty'. If only I could tell the person who wrote it that I have just spent the last 7 hours at the sudden death of a baby. I'd bought a sandwich. We're not robots. #BeKind #WoundUp

a tragic part of a serious relationship ending is the language you shared together being lost - all those facial expressions, jokes, noises, verbal intimacies that only the 2 of you understood, become a dead language never to be spoken again
