Shaheed Bhai Parvinder Singh Jhota Ji’s struggle for justice was transformed into a people’s movement with the significant contribution of Akali Dal Waris Punjab De’s young leaders, Lakha Singh Sidhana and Bhana Singh Sidhu. The Bhagwant Mann government may use police force, arrests, intimidation and alleged custodial torture to target young activists and attempt to suppress the movement. But it cannot silence the growing public demand for justice or stop the anti-drug movement that has taken root among the people of Punjab.

ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਆ ਕੇ ਰੈਲੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ 1984 ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਕਤਲੇਆਮ ਦਾ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇਵੇ 1978 ਤੋਂ 1996 ਤੱਕ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਬੇਦੋਸ਼ੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਤਲੇਆਮ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ, ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਇੰਦਰਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦੇ ਕੁਕਰਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਦੇ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਮੰਗੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਕੋਈ ਪਛਤਾਵਾ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਕਿਸ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਆ ਕੇ ਰੈਲੀਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕਿੰਨੀ ਬੇਸ਼ਰਮੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਿਰਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਪੱਗਾਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਆਗੂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਤਲਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੱਥ ਅੱਡਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਮਝਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਹੋਵੇ, ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬੀ-ਟੀਮ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਬਾਦਲ, ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਹਨ। ਵੰਡ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇੱਕ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਨੀਤੀ ਤਹਿਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਵਾਗਡੋਰ ਸੌਂਪੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਨਸਲਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। 2017 ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਗੁਟਕਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚਾਰ ਹਫ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਇਸ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਕਾਮ ਰਹੀ। ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ 2017 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ 70 ਫ਼ੀਸਦੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਲਪੇਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੀ। ਉਹ ਦੱਸਣ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਵੀ ਢੁੱਕਵਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ? ਅਕਾਲੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵੀ ਉਸੇ ਰਾਹ ’ਤੇ ਚੱਲਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਬਦਤਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਦਾ ਇੱਕੋ-ਇੱਕ ਹੱਲ ਭਾਈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਹਿਣ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਗਲਤੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਤਾਂ ਅਗਲੇ ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਭੋਗ ਪਾ ਦੇਣਗੀਆਂ।

ਮੇਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਦਾ ਵੇਖ ਲੈ, ਤੂੰ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਵਰਕਾ ਪੜ੍ਹ। ਜਦੋਂ ਭਾਰੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੈ ਮਾਂ ’ਤੇ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਏ ਚੜ੍ਹ। ਪੜ੍ਹ! ਕਿੰਨੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ। ਪੜ੍ਹ! ਕਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮਾਣ। ਸੁਣ ਰਾਹੀਆ ਰਾਹੇ ਜਾਂਦਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਲਿਖ ਰੱਖੀਂ ਇਹ ਬਾਤ। ਮੇਰਾ ਡੁੱਬਿਆ ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹੇਗਾ, ਓੜਕ ਮੁੱਕੇਗੀ ਇਹ ਰਾਤ।
