Everyone tells you to do your own research. Nobody tells you what you are actually supposed to be looking at.🤔 So let’s help you out. Day 1 of: how to analyse a crypto token. Most tokens launched last year are worth nothing today, and a good number of them doubled before they got there, which tells you something worth sitting with: the same token can be a disaster to hold and a perfectly reasonable trade, and the thing separating those two outcomes is knowing which question you came to ask. If you are investing, you are working out whether this project is still around in two years. If you are trading, you are working out whether it moves, whether there’s enough liquidity to get out, and what’s about to hit the supply. Same eight questions either way, just weighted differently depending on why you are there. 1. Project overview. What problem does it claim to solve, and is that a problem worth solving? 2. About the project. Does the product actually exist, does it work, and is anyone using it? 3. Team, partners and investors. Who built it, who funded it, and what have they shipped before this? 4. Tokenomics. How many tokens exist, how many more are coming, and who is sitting on a pile of them? 5. Community. Are there real users here, or is this rented attention that leaves when the incentives do? 6. Competitors and performance. Who else is doing this, and are they doing it better or cheaper? 7. Technical analysis. What the chart and the volume tell you, and just as importantly what they hide. 8. Sources for DYOR. Where to go and check every single answer above for yourself, for free. If you ae holding for the long term, questions one through four carry most of the weight. If you’re trading, four, five and seven matter more. Nobody gets to skip number eight. Whether you are a beginner buying your first token or someone who has been in this for years, the checklist doesnt change. Only how fast you run it does. Follow along and we’ll teach you this day by day, so that by the end of it you’ll know exactly what to look for.🙌
