Her character is boring and uninteresting, I'm not complaining. I don't think she's lying either, nothing about Karen Paige warrants this level of secrecy
"There is no plans for me so far on either side (MCU or DC) of the comic book universe.” Deborah Ann Woll indicates she won’t be returning as Karen Page in ‘DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN’.

Adrian Toomes is the type of white, blue collar guy who would say “I hate the rich!” and then vote for Donald Trump 3 times.
Thinking that The Vulture in HOMECOMING was a good guy is peak media illiteracy

Amy Pascal says she and Kevin Feige cheered after watching the Director's Cut of 'SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY': "Actually, it was the first time that Kevin and I stood up after a director's cut and cheered. That's how good it was. That's how good Destin [Daniel Cretton] is."

the fact that the richest man of all time is also the biggest loser who's ever lived makes for an incredibly efficient argument against capitalism IMO
Elon Musk‘s campaign against Christopher Nolan epic 'The Odyssey' just deepened. The tech mogul wrote on his social media service X that his AI tool Grok Imagine would create a “full-length” feature version of Homer’s Greek myth deadline.com/2026/07/elon-mu…

It’s also entirely possible the priestess in Troy *was* Athena, and that her beheading is part of what severed the connection between men and gods. A literal demonstration of “xenia” or “Zeus’ Law.” It’s ambiguous! Which is nice!
not sure why people think that the Athena reveal in the film necessarily means she's a figment of Odysseus's imagination. I was immediately left with the impression that Athena was merely taking on the appearance of a specific priestess to haunt/taunt him. it's clearly ambiguous!

Literally just pulled these from the concept art book from BPWF. If they wanted Namor in long sleeves, any of these would have been way better to bring onto the screen.

We went from a very deliberate pearl and vibranium snake designs in his necklace to visually show he’s THE feather serpent god to a generic wave swirlies belt because he’s just a water guy :)

Please don't tell me they took away the interesting way they depicted his flight in Wakanda Forever. The hummingbird inspired movement and like he was walking/running on air was so cool but this looks like generic superman flying.

The way the Fantastic Four stand out amongst all the drab and dull costumes is really funny. It really shows how muted these costumes have been for the sake of "realism"

There have been lots of reviews of the new Odyssey movie, and as an ancient historian, people are probably expecting me to weigh in. I saw the film yesterday afternoon with my brother and sister (on the regular screen, not IMAX). But first let me just say that if you are expecting me to assess the historical accuracy of the movie, you will be disappointed. When it comes to modern adaptations of ancient literature, historical accuracy is not very relevant. After all, the original is not historically accurate and reflects elements from different time periods, and indeed, while there may be a historical kernel of truth to Odysseus' voyage (though I doubt it), there is no evidence of it ever happening. No, it is far more appropriate for me simply to assess how well the film adheres to the original text. 1/

thank god batman fans were for the most part domesticated on how adaptations work early on bc imagine seeing them unanimously bitch about how riddler isn't using a fedora and a cane saying "riddle me this batman" like some other fans do here

this is only ridiculous if you consider the purpose of the film to be perfect recreation of the poem. it’s not. its a work in conversation with another, part of a literary tradition which predates and includes the poem. these differences are choices, not failures of understanding
The concept of Odysseus feeling guilty about sacking Troy keeps cracking me up.
