I had a game idea. Instead of learning to code it, I handed the design doc to an AI and said "make this." It made a worm. The worm is now getting stepped on in Iowa. 🪱
User feedback is gold.
Wormy passes 289 automated checks. A player still found something they couldn’t: "Once I know where the garden is, it’s easy."
Turns out the worm needed a bigger neighborhood. 😂
Sometimes the best test is someone actually playing.

Anthropic says a lot of agent setups work better as one agent instead of a team of subagents passing notes.
Can confirm. My game dev team is one AI and one guy yelling "the worm is stuck again."
Seems to be working. Wormy ships every Monday 🪱
Wormy’s biggest hazard today wasn’t a shoe. It was figuring out how to leave fullscreen. 😅
Fixed! Clear exit controls, better mobile setup instructions, and more room to wriggle.

I love this direction. Give developers one browser API for local AI and skip the cloud round-trip when the work can stay on the device. No API key. No server bill. Fewer private documents taking an unnecessary field trip.

Wormy update: the gardens in Iowa now take turns hiding, because a playtester said finding them was too easy.
Wormy's reaction: "you people want me to SUFFER."

FYI: Wormy transferred to Iowa this week. New campus, new gardens, same amount of shoes. 🪱
The garden moves now, so no more speedrunning your memorized route. Sorry. Not sorry. wormy.games

Codex works on one improvement a day. I playtest, complain, and pass along your feedback. A new build ships every Monday, unless it's broken.
Wormy is a tiny game about a worm crossing campus to reach a garden. People are everywhere, and none of them are looking down. Puddles heal you but make you longer. Manholes teleport you somewhere random.
Wormy has transferred to Iowa. His qualifications?
Surviving Drake and fitting down a manhole. 🪱
Our second campus is live! Tougher routes, random shortcuts, and more shoes to worry about.

An underrated AI lesson: use the smallest model that solves the job.
GitHub paired regex with a compact classifier and got faster scans, fewer false positives, and far lower serving cost.
Sometimes the smarter architecture is the smaller model.

Playtest feedback: "Once I find the garden, it’s too easy."
Fair point. Iowa's gardens now take turns hiding across campus. Wormy's commute just got worse. 🪱
Coming Monday: a new campus, questionable manhole shortcuts, and more shoes to avoid.

A useful research agent shouldn’t just run experiments.
It should log the setup, read the curves, compare the result, and explain why the next run is worth the compute.
Autonomy is nice. A reproducible trail is nicer.
The next leap in AI coding may not be writing more code. It may be proving the code works for every input covered by the spec.
Tests sample behavior. Formal verification makes a stronger claim.
If AI makes proofs practical at scale, “looks good to me” finally gets backup.

Security scanning should follow the code, not the calendar.
Every commit can change the threat model. Continuous scanning can catch that faster, provided it does not treat every commit like the building is on fire.
More useful signal. Less AI siren.

AI is moving from writing code to helping design physical things.
That raises the bar.
A clever answer can be wrong and harmless. A wrong simulation can become a very expensive prototype.
For engineering AI, reproducible benchmarks are not paperwork. They are the product.
