Abdul Rahman Hassan retracted his statement, yet almost 11 years later, SPUBS are still bringing it up. What exactly is the objective here? If a person makes a mistake, recognises it and retracts it, then justice demands that his retraction is acknowledged rather than continually using his past words against him.
Allah says: “And do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.” (Qur’an 5:8)
The Salafi manhaj is not about blind loyalty to personalities. It is about following the evidence, upholding justice and returning to the truth regardless of who is involved. You cannot claim to stand for the truth while selectively presenting someone's past statements and ignoring their subsequent retraction.
If SPUBS dispute the retraction, let them bring their evidence. Otherwise, continually recycling an old statement while omitting the retraction is against the Salaf
Almost 11 years now since our Shaykh @AbuKhadeejahSP put this message out against @UstAbdulrahman for his wicked comments on the Prophet ﷺ & the Ṣaḥāba,
Looking back at this now, Who would say such a thing regarding them except an Ignorant!

Before giving daʿwah, know who you're speaking to.
Travelling through Kenya and Uganda reminded me: the daʿwah that works in London or Dubai can't simply be copied and pasted into East Africa.
Islam taught this principle 1,400 years ago.

“Just as the methodology of the Kharijites was opposed by that of the Murjiah, so too does every innovation give rise to its counterpart.
Today, the extremism of some who claim to follow Salafiyyah regarding rulers has reached the point where...
They label all of this as public criticism of the authorities, failing to distinguish—due to ignorance—between these contexts and the actual public denouncement of a ruler. They fail to differentiate between situations, leading to confusion and error, making their ignorance...

Sh Abdullah Ghunayman is one of the most senior scholars alive today. He is a direct heir of the older Najdi tradition of the likes of al-Sa'di, Muhammad Ibn Ibrahim, Ibn Qassim and more.
Ghulat Tajrih haven't even done a tenth of what he has in defending the creed of the Salaf.

Shaykh ʿAbdullāh Al-Ghunaymān said:
Now, among the problems that people are facing today is that there are students of knowledge and shaykhs who say that if a mushrik performs ṭawāf around a grave, and worships the occupant of the grave, but is ignorant, then we do not call him a mushrik.
Rather, we call him a Muslim. And they say: his action is shirk, but he himself is not a mushrik. This is a strange matter. They say: his action is shirk, yet he is not a mushrik; rather, he is a Muslim. And if he dies upon that, he is in Paradise, because he is excused, excused in his ṭawāf around the grave and in his ʿibādah of it.
This is what the shaykh says: that this is something not known among the earlier generations nor the later ones. It is something uttered only by ignorant scholars, may Allāh grant safety. Meaning: ignorance has taken firm hold in their hearts, and they have become people who do not accept the truth. They argue about such matters.
Then regarding someone like this: does the statement of the shaykh apply to him, his saying, “Whoever does not takfīr the kāfir is himself a kāfir”? Because this is shirk and kufr against Allāh, exalted and majestic, and yet he did not takfīr him; rather, he judged him to be a Muslim.
Meaning: as for people like these, the existence of doubts must be removed before judging them to be kuffar. But we say: this is ignorance, ignorance that no one preceded them in. If a mushrik falls into shirk, then he is a mushrik. Shirk does not exist independently such that the action is called shirk while its doer is called a Muslim. A person is held accountable for what he does.

“We used to laugh and joke, but when people began to take us as examples, I feared that even smiling might no longer be appropriate for us.”
[Siyar Aʿlām an-Nubalāʾ: 7/132]
I thought the khawarij were those who claimed major sins and kufr duna kufr are instantly major kufr, or rebelled against sinful Muslim rulers who still uphold Islam, not those who were against the tatar and their equivalent banning clearcut obligations of the Quran
This is an excellent formula of chaos and destruction of Islam and Muslims.
To allow those with the khawarij ideology to circulate anything they believe is against sharia to be an act of blatant kufr which allows overthrowing the regime!
It is not permissible at all to think like this or lead the country into wars and destruction under the justification that we are protecting Islam, when you are actually decimating it and the Muslims.

The main enemy to the dawah of Shaykh Muhammad ibn AbdulWahhab were the murji'ah, those who separate action from iman, such that if one commits an action of major shirk they claim it didnt remove him from Islam or claim it's excused in the dunya

The ruling on the one who does not takfīr the mushrikīn
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān was asked:
Q: Whoever does not takfīr the mushrikīn, or hesitates regarding judging them, does he become a kāfir, even if he is making taʾwīl (interpretation)? And what is the evidence for that, may Allah preserve you?
A: There is no taʾwīl in this matter, and it is not something for which taʾwīl is valid. The mushrikīn must be takfired. The kuffār must be takfired, and there is no taʾwīl in this matter.
Whoever hesitates in takfiring them is a kāfir like them, because he did not consider kufr to be kufr. Whoever does not consider kufr to be kufr becomes a kāfir.
