Honestly, this digital art gig is becoming a bit of a psychiatric experiment.
On one hand, you've got commission merchants choking back tears after brokering deals on overpriced glitch art, like they've just negotiated peace in the Middle East.
And on the other, a timeline full of “artists” shouting “GM!” like freshly indoctrinated cult members who have been lobotomised at a Silicon Valley wellness retreat.
Imagine Francis Bacon crawling out of bed, nursing a catastrophic hangover, to post “GM beautiful art fam! 🫶

Yesterday I inadvertently bought a NFT that the design was copied from. On being notified, I immediately sent it to a burn address and purchased the original from the artist after contacting him. Excited to give proper flowers to the well deserving @stephanvasement ❤️

We reward people with the right network, timing, and community connections, not the ones who actually create. The original artist speaks up, the copier puts out a textbook apology after getting caught, offers the proceeds, and everyone moves on. Meanwhile artists who’ve been grinding for years stay invisible.
And this isn’t a one-off. It’s the model.
