The quality of generic disease modifying therapies used in the care of people with multiple sclerosis is critical. Being exposed to a subpotent generic disease modifying therapy is one thing, but what if such exposure actually placed individuals at risk for greater disease advancement based on the mechanism of action of the molecule? journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.…

Two new and unused boxes of Enspryng (satralizumab) recovered from a person with NMOSD. The retail price for each box is $20,611.44! Defined plans for dealing with these recovered specialty medications are needed. @genentech Want to exchange these for new medications so that we can get them in the hands of people that have restricted access? @AlexionPharma @Amgen

Have you ever wondered about the magnitude of new/unused disease modifying therapies for multiple sclerosis that may be out there? Retail costs for these specialty medicines are near $100K per year! This is a before and after photo from 2020. Imagine for a minute what we have collected up to present day. Enthusiasm for fixing the problem is low especially when compensation has already occurred along the distribution chain. @davidbalat @patientsrising @ectrims @actrims @mssociety @docforms @DrugChannels @elonmusk
